Virtual Design Project
For this project we were given multiple options for projects and we had to chose one with our group members from across the United States. We had to work as a group, fix the problem we chose, and design parts in Inventor. My group chose a locker organizer.
Project Description: School lockers are a mess. Students can never find a pen, pencil, or calculator,and their homework is always getting lost. Those who bring their lunch to school often find their food crushed under a sea of books and binders. Because of the clutter, it is often difficult for students to close their locker doors completely.
We had to design a locker organizer for school to compete for business and to sell. Many students struggle to keep their lockers organized and we had to design a system that was easy to install to help organize locker items. We wanted to make it easy to store water bottles, books, shoes, a coat, a backpack, pencils, charge electronic devices, and make the cost reasonable. Also, we wanted to make it visually appealing to schools and students.
