Commercial Project
Hello, I'm Josh Tatum. This was our first project of the year for PLTW, and the assignment was to create an imformational commercial about ourselves to share with the class. This video is a short clip of some of my interests and goals.
Career Project
For this project, our assignment was to come up with a potential career and explain it in detail. I choose marketing managment because that's a career I would like to pursue.
Key Chain Project
For this project we had to design and create a small key chain part with Inventor and print it with our 3-D printer.
Paper Bridge Challenge
For this assignment we were challenged to see who could create the longest bridge with just three pieces of paper. My group won, creating our bridge 44 inches long.
Pictoral Sketches
These are some of the practice sketches I made in Unit 2 for pictoral sketches.
3.6 Fling Machine
For this project, we had to make a fling machine out of certian materials. We had to fling a cotton ball and record the stats of its distance. Our average launch was 67 inches and our average distance was 49 inches.
Engineering Failure
I chose to research the Hyatt Regency Walkway Collapse for my project. I created an information sheet to explain what and why it happened. Researching this project helped imforce the importance of communication between engineers and other workers.
